Hippo Health Lamiprev for Laminitis

Hippo Health Lamiprev for Laminitis (formerly called Laminitis Prevention Aid) is professionally formulated to assist with a healthy immune response of those horses who are prone to episodes of laminitis.  It is also suitable for use following high risk incidents such as grain gorging (along with veterinary supervision of course).

DOSING WITH A PUMP BOTTLE A dose consists of 2 pumps of remedy onto the tongue, gums or lips. Can also be given on a piece of food. Most horses love the sweet taste but if your horse is nervous about being dosed, you can put the dose on your finger and dab it on their lips or gums. They do not need to swallow the dose, it just has to come into contact with their tongue or gums. Give 2 pumps orally, once or twice a day depending on how susceptible your horse is to laminitis and the risk factors such as lush grass. Allow 2 weeks for the remedy to build up in their system and monitor closely if you choose to increase grazing time.

MAINTENANCE DOSE (90ml Bottles) As risk factors decrease, reduce dosing frequency to a level that suits your horse. Many horses manage on 2 doses a week or stop dosing completely when the grass has died back. It is an individual regime and for this reason we recommend dosing horses individually according to their needs and not dosing the water troughs

GORGING INCIDENT: Give 2 pumps, every 15-30 minutes for up to 4 doses then spread out the doses to 2 hourly. A veterinarian should always be consulted.

NOTE: If you are using a jerry can, syringe 3ml per dose.
